THE FRONT NINE
by Chase Balata

It’s an addiction, this game. And Skully & Banes would be the first to admit it. Neither rain, sleet, snow nor the dead of night keeps them from their appointed rounds.

This little black book of golf stories chronicles the misadventures of these two golf junkies on and off the course. It grabs you by the Titleists and doesn't let go until the monkey on your back is fed.

Golfoholics Web site wins ADDY award

Tee through olive logo also recognized for best design

LEESBURG, Va. - It's not the Claret Jug, but Bill Replogle and the rest of the Golfoholics™ team are nearly as excited as Tiger Woods after the British Open about the recent accomplishments they've added to their repertoire. Their Golfoholics.com Web site recently won an American Advertising Federation (AAF) ADDY Award in first tier competition for best micro-site. Their eye catching tee through the olive logo also won a citation of excellence for best logo design.

The ADDY Awards are the world's largest and arguably the toughest advertising competition. They represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types of all levels from anywhere in the world. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.

"It can't compare to winning 50 tournaments at the age of 30, but, hey, we're not even one yet," said Replogle, Golfoholics founder/CEO.

The ADDY Awards are unique among all advertising creative competitions. It's the only competition that includes three rigorous levels of judging. Annually there are more than 50,000 entries in the competition. Entries are first judged at a local level through competitions organized by more than 200 ad clubs affiliated with the AAF. The local competition for Golfoholics was sponsored by the Advertising Club of Washington. You can view the award-winning Golfoholics Web site at www.golfoholics.com.
